The blanket was inspired by Jane’s trips to The Green Hotel in Mysore, India, and in particular some decorative tiles on a Victorian washstand found within the hotel.
The design uses a mixture of DK weight yarns and a crochet layering technique to achieve the 3D effect of the flowers. A repeated square motif with central flower are combined with half and quarter motifs to achieve the square shape of the blanket.
Measurements: Approximately 48.5 inch square (123 centimeters). After blocking approximately 53.25 inch square (135 centimeters).
Materials: Can be made with all suitable DK or worsted weight yarn (if made with worsted weight yarn your blanket will be larger). The original design used West Yorkshire Spinners Blueface Leicester DK.
