This design has an interesting construction. The fronts and shawl collar section are knitted first. The back is then picked up and knitted down to the hem. The sleeves are picked up and knitted out at the side edges, the garment is then joined to create side and sleeve seams. It can also be turned upside down and worn with the lace chain motif at the hem as illustrated in the additional photos.
