Simple vest shape with a lace design in the middle of the front panel, and a ribbed bottom edge.

It's suggested to knit the front first as the central lace pattern is worked over 6 rows. For ease of knitting work front increase on Row 1 (RS) of the 6 row pattern repeat. You can then work the back to the same length as the front. The front has 2 extra stitches cast on to accommodate the front lace panel pattern.

Pattern has text and a chart for lace panels.
