A new Lopi yarn line, Fjallalopi is half the thickness of Lettlopi, comes in 50 gram skeins with approximately 164 yards of yarn and works up at a sport-DK weight.  As with all Lopi yarn lines Fjallalopi is made of 100% Icelandic wool.  Icelandic wool has a warm core that is fine and warm while the outer fiber is long, rough and water-repellent.  This combination results in long-wearing, warm yet light garments.  Fjallalopi has a single-ply construction with a rustic organic feel and it is ideal for making lighter garments as well as for stranded colorwork patterns.

Fiber Content: 100% Icelandic Wool (made in Iceland)

Yardage: 164 yards/50-gram skein

Gauge: Approximately 5.5 stitches/inch on U.S. size 2.5-6 (3-4 mm) needles.

Weight: Fine/ Sport/ Light DK.

Care: Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
