During a trip to Peru touring fair trade mills, the creators of Yarn Citizen watched sheep 'tops' getting sorted and the remnants pile up. Every year mills end up with thousands of pounds of high quality fibers that don't make it to final production. This is not because they are second quality but often because there is not enough to make a spin cycle for a yarn line. Often these luxurious leftovers are just thrown away. In an effort to save them from landfills, and to develop a high quality yarn that is affordable, these leftovers were rescued for the Yarn Citizen lines.

Littleknits.com is wonderful. I recommend them all the time. Now with the Tariffs, I get a chance to buy yarn I could afford otherwise. They also give me a chance to try new brands I wasn't familiar with and re purchase. Their discounts are amazing, and the bags of 5 or 10, can give you a sweaters quantity at an affordable price. Many times under $50, when it would be hundreds at full price.
They will call/text you if your order has more than one dye lot. They have cheerful notes on their invoices. Definitely better customer service than I get at my snobby LYS 3 blocks away from my house.

Who doesn't love a sale? Especially from yarns around the world. For as long as LK was in business online (20 years?) I have been a customer ever since. I love their "Customer First" business model, which I appreciate when they act as an eye on the yarn and colors, one thing online shopping is greatly benefitted. For 20 years, I never encounter any mistake or error. Due to their deep discount on yarn, I was able to expend my knitting adventure and exploring my experience in creating my own kind of knitting. I can only wish LK will outlive my hands and eyes, I cannot imaging to knit without LK, since so much changes in the knitting world these days. Does anything good can stay constant? I wonder, but I am busy to go back to my yarn stash from LK purchases to create more, and to enjoy the pure pleasure in playing with those yarns, BIG THANKS to LK.

Little Knits is my go-to yarn store! I almost never purchase yarn anywhere else unless I need something specific that they don't carry but that is rare. Usually if I decide on a project I peruse what Little Knits has to offer and almost always find something that will work just great, and it's always at a better price than anywhere else. I have the advantage of living nearby so I can always pick up my order and interact with the very fun staff there, but they do offer free shipping on many of their specials for those not so fortunate. Pattern support is often available for free or at a significant discount. I can't say enough great things about this business and their commitment to finding the best yarn offerings at amazing prices!

I enjoy the variety of yarns. Something new every week. Reliable colors and descriptions. If a skein doesn't match the others, it is listed separately. Because I don't pay for expedited shipping it takes a while before I can start my new project. They call me if something doesn't seem right. I'm very happy with my yarn and their service.
