A brand new yarn line at our store Alba has the same fiber combination and gauge as Rowan Felted Tweed and can be used as a perfectly matched substitute. The only difference and we think this is a great one, instead of 50 gram skeins Alba comes in 100 gram balls with twice the yardage at a portion of the price of Felted Tweed!

This lovely yarn bears the original Gaelic name for the kingdom of Scotland as its subtle and stunning tweed effect and colors are inspired by the Scottish Highlands. This tweedy yarn combines a luxurious blend of Merino Wool and Superfine Alpaca, accented with a taste of viscose sourced from German sustainable forestry.

Fiber Content: 50% Merino Wool, 25% Superfine Alpaca, and 25% Viscose.

Yardage: Approximately 382 yards of yarn in each 100 gram skein.

Knitting Gauge: 4.25-6 stitches to an inch on US size 5 needles (3.75mm).

Crochet Gauge: 3-4.25 sc to an inch on a G-6 (4mm) hook.

Weight: DK. Light 3.

Care: Machine washable, Lay Flat to Dry.
