The Noro Rikka is a voluminous yarn and a typical Noro blend of Merino wool & Corriedale, combined with the softest Peruvian alpaca, and undyed mulberry silk. The yarn and the finished knitted fabric appear to be covered with a touch of white. It seems as if you are looking at a landscape that has been surprised by a frosty night or a sudden snowfall. (which is the meaning of Rikka in Japanese "snow crystal")
Fiber Content: 57% Wool, 22% Alpaca and 21% Silk.
Yardage: Approximately 350 yards of yarn in each 200 gram hank.
Knitting Gauge: Approximately 3-3.75 stitches to an inch on U.S. size US 9 - 11 needles (5.5 - 8mm).
Crochet Gauge: Approximately 2 sc to an inch on 5.5mm (I) - 6mm (J) hook.
Weight: Bulky, 5.
Care: Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
